Please note: for transportation reasons the size of each tub supplied can vary up to 60mm from the specified dimensions.

If purely for solo use, a 4ft FireTub is recommended.

For more than one, the 5ft or 6ft FireTub is recommended.

Keep in mind that the 6ft FireTub requires a lot more water to fill (see specs above) than the 4ft & 5ft options so please be mindful of the additional water & heating time required for this sizing.

You will receive a tub & box. The box contents include the coil, all the quick connect fittings & attachments, heat resistant hose & hose clamps, custom spanner, a temperature gauge & a small tube of silicone.

All that is required from your end:

1 person with basic DIY skills can put the FireTub kit together in approx 10-20 minutes.

No, all that is required to operate our FireTub is wood, water & fire. Everything else is contained in the kit on arrival.

Our Fire Tubs have removed many of the annoying necessities of the traditional outdoor hot tub & replaced them with the simplicity of nothing more than wood, water & fire. Through a process known as ‘Thermal Siphoning’ we have removed the need for power & a pump & replaced it with a Fire Coil.

The way this works is as follows:

As the steel coil heats up it acts as a pump of sorts & draws the water from the tub, through the hose & up into the coil. As the water flows up the coil it is heated via the radiant heat of the central fire, continually moving upwards & ultimately circulating the now hot water back into the tub. This continues until your hot-tub is ready to use.

This product is not technical, in fact its perhaps the least technical hot tub out there in the market. No flashy lights, no fancy cedar lining, no complex timing system. It is basic & perfect in its simplicity, that said there is but one rule you must follow when setting up.

It’s essential that the Hoses running from the Fire Coil into your tub are running upwards.

The thermal siphon (water circulation) will be inefficient if the Hoses are running downwards into the tub mounts so if setting up on an incline or hill- be sure to place the coil on the low side of the slope.

Just like your bath at home, you will not have a true idea of the water temperature or accurate reading on the temperature gauge unless you manually circulate the water every so often so that water temperature can balance.

The heating of your FireTub is completely governed by the fire but does take time to reach a desired temperature. Using the gauge provided monitor the water temperature as required & continue to add wood to the fire. Once you are close to your desired temperature ease back on the wood & allow the fire to burn out or just add water to knock the fire down should you need to.

These times can vary based on a few factors such as:
- How regularly you are restoking the fire
- Starting temperature of the water, which will vary on location, climate and season

Ways to decrease heating timeline:
- Using an insulated cover on your tub so that temperature is not lost to atmosphere during heating

Like any bath, our Fire Tubs require regular draining as they do not have a pump or filter for circulation and filtration. Be mindful of adding pool chemicals to your tub as some pool and water cleaners can negatively affect the galvanised coating inside the tub; if in doubt consult your local pool supplies retailer.

The average cost of 1000 litres of tap water at the time of writing this (City Pricing):
- Tasmania $1.06
- Victoria $2.63 - Sydney $3.35
- Perth $1.82 - $4.55

This highlights that regular changing of the water is not going to add a huge premium to your current water usage bill.

Each Tub has a 20mm threaded plug located on the lower side wall of the tub. To drain the water, simply remove the drain plug using a set of needle nose pliers & let gravity do the rest.

Alternatively, you can pick up an expandable washing machine/ dishwasher drain hose from Bunnings or the like that will allow you to direct water away from the tub towards a preferred area.

After several uses, you are going to find that your FireCoil is now black after repeated exposures to fire. There is no need to clean it off if you don’t want to - however, for those that want to their coil back to its steel colour you can do the following:

1. Purchase from your local supermarket a tin of spray on ‘Easy-Off Oven & BBQ Cleaner (Heavy Duty)
2. Apply a liberal amount of the cleaner to the coil & wait 30 minutes
3. Thoroughly rinse down your coil with a hose or pressure washer- the blackened coil should now be back to its steel colour.

For the tub, we recommend a lid and cover if it will be outdoors under weather or just a cover if it will be outdoors but under cover, this will prevent water and unwanted debris from building up in the tub base. Beyond a cover, a general wipe down with warm soapy water is all that is recommended as required (see our range of covers here).

Absolutely, these tubs are constructed from galvanised steel which in properties is long lasting & rust resistant making them perfect for exterior settings where they are exposed to weather. We do suggest placing a lid or cover over your tub when not in use- saves you cleaning out leaf litter & debri before each soak. 

It is up to the customer to use and oversee the use of the product safely whilst managing the hazards of fire and water. By all means, your kids can enjoy the outdoor hot tub experience but be responsible in monitoring this.

Our freight is serviced through a group of small independent logistics companies that handle our deliveries door to door for most key centres. For those off the track & in regional hubs, we have depots scattered around the country that you can collect your FireTub from. Given the nature and size of our product, Australia Post and the usual postage channels are no good to us if we are wanting to provide a cost-effective delivery system.

For interstate orders, once you have placed your order- you will be booked in for the next delivery to your given state. Our interstate deliveries are every 2-4 weeks at the moment which we will scale out as our sales grow.

For anyone local in Melbourne, Victoria; you are more than welcome to collect from our Carrum Downs warehouse, or we can arrange freight within Melbourne which we offer every 1 to 2 weeks.
